
Suggested Activities to go with the book:
Frances likes to make up and sing songs. Make up your own song about
foods you like to eat.
Discuss the food
groups and why it is important to eat a variety of foods.
Read Good Enough to Eat: A Kid's Guide to Food and Nutrition.
Make a foods book. Use one page for each of the food groups. Write
the name of the group on the top of the page. Cut out pictures of foods
from grocery ads and paste on the pages.
Go to the grocery store. Let child choose a new fruit or vegetable
to get and try.
Help child plan a balanced menu. Cook it together.
Do
healthy foods worksheet.
